Role: Arabic Language Summer Camp Program Leadership (2024)
Type of Position: CLV Seasonal - Summer
Employment Nature: Seasonal
Duration of Employment: 1 Month
Employment Period: July-August
Work Schedule: Up to 7 days a week
Working Hours: 14-16 hours daily, including overnight supervisory duties
Starting Salary: Minimum of $450 weekly
Under the camp (“Village”) dean’s guidance, leadership staff will organize and conduct cultural activities, educational curriculum, and mentor staff and campers in the target language.
Positions available include Team Lead, Credit Curriculum Facilitator, Two-week Facilitator, Adventure Day Camp Coordinator, and Assistant Dean.
This is an ideal opportunity for those who enjoy outdoor activities, international friendships, and working with children. Come join us this summer!
Your Responsibilities:
- Use the target language extensively with children (“villagers”) and staff.
- Work with the dean to plan and prepare for the summer.
- Manage the villager proficiency-based placement process.
- Engage in all Village activities including meals, songs, evening programs, cultural presentations, and staff meetings.
- Assist the dean in supervising and training staff, and coaching them.
- Model positive behaviors and target language use for villagers.

Essential Qualifications
- Prior experience with Concordia Language Villages (as staff or participant)
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
- Proficient in English and the target language, capable of communicating with both adults and children.
